Fall meeting November 10, 2017

Karl Citek from Pacific University College of Optometry will give a talk titled “New Options for Refractive Surgery.”

Are you near-sighted, far-sighted, slightly astigmatic, or even presbyopic? And thinking of refractive surgery? The number and types of surgical procedures have increased in recent years. Even older, now “traditional” techniques have been expanded and improved to allow correction of greater amounts and types of refractive errors. This presentation will discuss current and upcoming refractive surgery options, from corneal reshaping procedures, such as LASIK, PRK, and corneal cross-linking, to implants, such as phakic IOL and Kamra Inlay.
